In scouring for more information on our states’ unemployment systems and what we can all expect, we came across two unofficial Facebook groups where members are helping each other with common questions such as “why is my claim amount $0?” or “why haven’t I heard back from the state yet?”
While these groups are not monitored by any state officials and have nothing to do with the EDD itself, we have found a number of useful bits of information coming from users who are all in the same boat. We encourage you to check out FAQs in these groups if you are running into issues with your UI claim. We’ve found them to be super helpful, especially the tips about how to reach the EDD by phone if you need to.
